There are several theories which attempt to explain unusual items falling from the sky. Here are a few for your consideration:
It has been suggested that tornadoes are responsible for fish and frogs raining down. The theory goes like this: animals are pulled up from a body of water by a tornado. They are kept alive by the storm cloud's moist environment for a time, and then fall to the ground some time later.
The problem with this theory is that you have to believe that the fish, frogs, or whatever are able to survive for an extended period of time in the cloud before they are released. You also have to buy that the tornado must be quite intelligent to only pick up one type of creature.
Another proposed explanation is that these things were dumped from an aircraft. The problem here is that it doesn't account fro the occurrences that took place before the invention of the airplane. It also doesn't make much sense that airline personnel would be dumping live animals, rocks, or other items from the plane while in flight.
Still another explanation is that some sort of teleportation is taking place; that under certain circumstances, channels open that can cause items to move from one location to another. One would wonder if this is a natural phenomenon, or if experiments are being conducted in this area.
While there are many theories attempting to explain strange rain, this mystery remains unsolved.
