Time is on my mind these days. It stops for no one. We sometimes wish we could have it back. Sometimes it is on our side; sometimes we kill it. Most of us, if asked, would describe time as being like a piece of string: one event flows into the next, step by step. There is a beginning, a middle, and an end.
But what if instead of a straight line, sometimes the string is in a ball and time gets jumbled up a bit? That may be what happens during a time slip.
During a time slip occurrence, a person in the present gets a glimpse of events from the past. Some individuals have reported multiple time slips in the same location. An Australian woman apparently caught a glimpse of her town from 45 years previously as she drove through an intersection. During the 20-second phenomena, the paved road turned to dirt, trees disappeared, and she met an old-fashioned (to her) black car travelling in the opposite direction. One can only imagine the look on the other driver's face when he saw a vehicle from 1996!
This week's article will look at a time slip which apparently took place at Versailles in 1901. Did two English women "see" Marie Antoinette as she was on the eve of the French Revolution?
