An account of a visit to Canada's Catholic Shrine.

When I was in Grade 8, my class took part in an exchange program with a class in Quebec. As part of our visit there, we paid a visit to St. Anne de Beaupré. It's a beautiful Catholic cathedral that is known as a place of healing.

As we entered the cathedral itself, we noticed that the entranceway had two massive stone pillars, one on each side. They were covered from floor to ceiling with braces, crutches, and the like. We were told that people with physical issues had come to the site and through prayer and the healing waters available there (I can't remember if they were in the font or not), they were healed. The braces and crutches were left and displayed as a testament to the power of this place.

This week's article is on the subject of Stonehenge and a new theory that this, too, was a place of healing for ancient people.
