The big, hairy guy has apparently been spotted by residents in the Merton area.
Last week, two youngsters were playing in a back yard when they noticed what they described as a “hairy monster” at the edge of some woods nearby. They observed the strange animal, which measured approximately seven feet in height) from a distance of approximately 110 yards.
In a similar story, a contractor who was collecting the remains of a dead deer off the highway saw a large animal with pointy ears remove the body from the back of his pickup truck as he drove away. (I would say that the gentleman involved did absolutely the right thing by leaving in a hurry; anything strong enough to life a deer carcass out of a truck is welcome to it!)
