I agree that it takes practice to be able to relax and let the answer come as opposed to projecting your own wishes onto it, but with time it does get easier.

We have the tools of our own consciousness to use for psychic/mediumship work.

Hold the pendulum by the string a few inches away from your body.

Do you have to hold it? Wouldn't any body movement (like breathing), no matter how slight, affect the motion of the pendulum?

You have to hold the string/chain part of the pendulum. Breathing shouldn't effect the motion; if it is moving for you, you will see a definite movement.

I hope this answers your question.

Take care.

Actually the energies of the body generally can and do affect this type of phenomena. That is why it is not considered a good tool of psychic input.

A person without a steady hand, or one who drank too much coffee, would be in trouble. (wink)

As you know, I use the mind for mediumship/psychic. I have witnessed some of these tools and can only say it is hard to see the good from the bad, so to speak.

It does take a bit of practice to steady your hand. Too much caffeine is probably a no-no, too. You really do need to be as calm and relaxed as possible to get this to work.

Hi Spiritalk,

I appreciate that it is easy to project your own wants onto this method. Certainly, it is not 100% reliable, just like other methods are not 100% reliable. It's a tool to get information and I think it has value as long as you don't rely on it too much.

Would you like to share more information about your methods?

Mediumship is an attunement process with the mind. Tools can be interesting (psychometry - holding of an article, Tarot - cards, crystal balls - focus of mind, etc)
