The brain give function to the mind. But 'gut feelings' are also a part of mind. So intuition and/or psychic sensitivities are also part of the mind. Where do they reside? They do not come from the brain, we just know from the heart and gut.

Brain injured individuals can still function in physical ways. They do not need the brain to exercise mind (in which there is consciousness).
