I sought out information about finding coins in abnormal places and happened upon this site.
I also lost a loved one, my daughter, just 2 days before her 21st birthday.
About 6 wks later, while visiting relatives in NY, I found three nickels in unusual places.
I had heard the folklore about pennies, but not nickels. Now I see on this site how many dimes are found. So perhaps it is just coins, not necessarily just a certain denomination.
Sure would like to know how/who is making this happen.

Now in regards to your finding nickels I am not sure why spirit chooses what they do to get our attention but I am positive that you are receiving these coins as a way for your daughter to let you know she is there and has transitioned to spirit side with no difficulty.

These nickels are apports (gifts from spirit) and you can know for sure that she is doing well in her new home.

How this happens as far as I have read and seen is that the loved one wants to send a very physical message that they are near and so by using their energy they can move objects in our path so we may find them or they may totally manifest them from spirit energy as what happened with the stones I received in meditation one time.

Both are simply concrete confirmations that spirit energy can materialize in the physical and we can have our attention drawn to it. When we are paying attention then loved ones can use these little tokens to let us know they are still very much alive in spirit even though they have gone through the change called death on this physical level.

Im sorry to hear about your daughter I myself am 22 and I can only just imagine your sadness. I came to this site today after looking all over the internet for some sort of meaning for finding dimes. I think its neat you have been findin nickles, she must have been pretty unique if everyone else places dimes and she places nickles. Its to show you shes there with you and that she wants you to think of her everytime you find one. I've been seeing spirits for over 10 years now. But when I came across the messages about the nickels I was suprised to see that I'm not the only one who finds them "around". It's only been happening since I moved into my current home in 2004. Nickels are everywhere I turn. It's very strange

Since the first of the year I have found too many coins for it to be just a coincidence; pennys, mostly dimes and then a few days ago a quarter...even a $1 bill. All the coins have been "heads up", have found them in my home, car, walking, while working out at the club, shopping and while pumping gas. It happened again this AM with a penny. The quarter was found a few days ago while walking up steps at my health club. What is going on?? Can anyone help me understand the meaning...starting to get spooky.

A close friend of mine was finding dimes on the keyboard of his computer. It wasn't always the same amount each time, but usually in odd numbers and grouped together in threes or fours.

This has stopped for months but now he is finding stranger things happening.

Books get tossed off shelves, coffee gets drunk out of his coffee pot, empty juice bottles left on end tables when there's only full ones in the fridge, an oily liquid left in cups, dirty plates and cutlery left in the sink after he's done up all his dishes, sometimes his dirty dishes get washed and put in the dishrack.

All this happens when he's out of the house or sleeping.

I don't know what to tell him as to finding out who it is or how to communicate with this spirit.

Ideas anyone?

That's really interesting! He could try leaving a tape recorder running when he is out of the house to see if he can pick up any sounds or voices.

This would be a situation where I would suggest he contact a paranormal investigator for help. First things first, though - is there any way a person is entering his home when he is at work or sleeping?

Jodee, that is an excellent idea about leaving a tape recorder running in hope of gathering up auditory evidence. A paranormal investigator would be able to provide even better monitoring equipment.

My friend is retired and lives alone so he's home quite a lot, except when he visits me on the weekend. Only the landlord has a duplicate key.

These paranormal activities started at his previous address and continued when he moved to his current residence. His sister has experienced paranormal activity for years. They seem to think it's their mother.

I don't think they want the spirit to leave if it's a family member who passed, but they would like to find out who it is.
