» ChickChris - I think my place is haunted

I have an 18 month old son and the bulk of the activity seems to center around him. It started last Feb with sounds coming through the baby monitor. When my son would start crying in the morning, I would hear through the monitor "Shh, Mummy's sleeping, don't wake Mummy." I knew it wasn't my husband as he was at work. I also know it wasn't interference from another baby monitor, as I checked with everyone in the area and no one else had a baby monitor at the time. This would happen every few days. We stopped using the monitor because it scared me. That's when my husband and I started hearing the voice in our room. It would tell us that our son was waking up. I then started seeing the shadow of a man in the door to my bedroom. And if a female was in the bathroom, the door would open by itself. It would never happen when a man was in the bathroom. Shortly after that my son would no longer sleep in his room. I was told by a friend to try a rock salt lamp. So we bought on for our room and one for our sons room. Once we did that, I stopped seeing things and we started trying to get our son to sleep in his room again. That was in Dec. He will go to sleep in his room but when he wakes up, he starts screaming like he's terrified. He only does it in his room. When we are travelling, he sleeps great. The past few weeks, strange things have started happening with my son's toys. The musical ones will start making noise when no one is near them and sometimes when they are turned off. Then, last night, when my son started crying in his crib, it was not in terror, so I decided to leave him and see if he would go back to sleep. All of a sudden on of the toys in his room started playing music and he started screaming in terror. I went and got him and let him sleep with me for the rest of the night. When I checked the toy this morning, the switch was in the Off position. I also know that the toy is very difficult to get it playing the music that it was. It involves spinning part of it 5 or 6 times. As my husband works out of town most of the time, the activity usually occurs when he is not at home. I'm scared and my son won't sleep in his room. Does anyone know what I can do or what to start with? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for such a long post.
